MENTAL HEALTH FOR ATHLETES

You can attend short-term therapy with a low threshold when you need support for various life challenges. The situation may be a sudden crisis or a prolonged burden. For athletes, short-term therapy can be helpful when feeling mentally low, overwhelmed by everyday life, or under performance pressure. Sessions can also address mild anxiety, depressive symptoms, stress, and issues related to body image or eating habits. Short-term therapy offers you conversational support without needing a diagnosis or doctor’s referral. There can be 1–20 sessions depending on your needs. Cognitive short-term therapy is based on dialogue and practical exercises, and we’ll set clear goals together.

We focus particularly on thought patterns that may be weighing you down or holding you back from reaching your athletic goals—and work on shifting them in a way that makes daily life and sports more meaningful.

Short-term therapy can be beneficial for athletes, for example, when they are feeling down, their everyday lives are stressful, or the pressure to perform feels overwhelming.
